Who’s in That Lane?

Do you know her......? That's Heather Brown, the soon to be newlywed! (November 26th). Congratulations from your Masters teammates here at FAST!

Heather was born and raised in Monterey Park, California. She attended private Christian schools and started swimming at age 7. She competed in swimming as an age grouper and continued throughout high school where she competed in the distance events (500 Free, 1650 Free) at CIF.

After high school she attended Azusa Pacific University where she received her BA in Sports Medicine. Her faithful interests took her to the Talbot School of Theology which is an offshoot of Biola University. There she received a MA in Bible Exposition. Heather is currently employed as a Children & Family Pastor at an established church in Yorba Linda.

Heather has many interests, starting with her fiancé! She also loves to swim, read, hike, and enjoy nature. She has taught and led many spin classes at numerous 24-Hour Fitness locations in the area. Heather is a proud and blessed parent of her children, Amber (13) and Leah (11). She describes them from her heart as "wonderful young women ".

By chance, did you see Heather on the TV show "Wipe Out" in 2009? She was a strong contestant, advanced to the second round out of four, and was eliminated on some obstacle…you can ask her about that one!

Heather accounts the best things in her life without hesitation: Her 2 girls, her faith, Michael (fiancé), and her best friends. To this interviewer it sounds like she is well grounded!

Heather says she doesn't seem to have a problem getting up at 5:25 AM for Masters due to her love of swimming. She also has a reliable system for getting all her curly hair neatly tucked into her cap! Heather is moving to South County after her November 26th wedding celebration. She is saddened to leave FAST Masters and promises to occasionally return on Saturdays. Not slowing down, she is considering joining a Masters team at either NOVA or Mission Viejo.

Heather hopes all people can learn to love each other more genuinely & authentically!

Thanks Heather for imparting your calm, friendly demeanor, and wisdom to all of us in the FAST Masters group. I'm sure all wish YOU the best as you depart on a new and exciting future for you, Michael, and your wonderful daughters!

Thank you for sharing YOU! Best to you and your future!
