JUNIOR I -- INTRODUCTORY COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

LEAD COACH -- AMY BARRETT

The Junior I program is the entry level onto the competitive FAST Swim Team for graduates of the FAST Swim School (Level 8, or equivalent), ages 7-14. Junior I swimmers will learn the basic skills, techniques, and vocabulary that will prepare them to successfully transition into either the Junior II (ages 12 and under) or Pre-Senior (ages 13 and up) practice groups.

The Junior I program provides a healthy introductory teaching and learning environment for our newest FAST team members as they begin to develop their interest in the sport and a vision of themselves as individuals, teammates, and athletes. Experienced coaching, a defined curriculum, and a vibrant team environment will contribute to a foundation of individual fitness, self-esteem, self-awareness, and teamwork for each group member. Swimming is a lifelong sport, and the Junior I group is where it begins.
