A FAST Start to December at Patriot Meet
Irvine, CA -- Twelve FAST swimmers from the NAG, Senior 1, and Senior 2 groups posted an outstanding 54 lifetime bests at the Patriot Meet last weekend. What a great start to December! Their races included:
- 5 new "B" time standards
- 5 new "BB" time standards
- 1 new "A" time standard
- 2 new "AA" time standards
Laura Perez Redondo and Morganne Wanke posted lifetime bests in all of their races. Congratulations, ladies!
All 12 FAST swimmers had one or more Top 8 finishes! Congratulations to Evni Bandara (1), Cassius Cho (1), Lucy Delgado (3), Emily Kim (1), Cynthia Lan (5), Rhett Parker (1), Jisoo Park (1), Laura Perez Redondo (3), Stephanie Kim (3), Morganne Wanke (8), Lucas Zhang (5), and Luwen Zhang (1). Cynthia and Morganne racked up several 1st place finishes:
- Cynthia Lan - 13 & Over 200 Fly (2:32.90); 400 IM (5:16.86)
- Morganne Wanke - 11-12 100 Back (1:12.63); 100 Breast (1:16.67); 100 Fly (1:09.34); 100 IM (1:10.68); 50 Breast (34.90); 50 Fly (32.24)
The largest time drop of the meet for the women was turned in by Luwen Zhang with her lifetime best 2:20.95 in the 200 Free. She cut 8.90 seconds and achieved a new BB time standard!
The largest time drop of the met for the men was turned in by Rhett Parker with his lifetime best 3:03.27 in the 200 Breast. He dropped an incredible 13.53 seconds!
