Strong Close to the Season at Winter Age Group Champs

Huntington Beach, CA -- Twenty-two FAST swimmers raced at the 2024 Winter Age Group Championship at Golden West last weekend.  They achieved 63 lifetime best times including 23 new National Age Group time standards:

Five FAST swimmers achieved lifetime bests in all of their races: Congratulations to Mia Carley, Kevin Ho, Shae Kennedy, Cynthia Lan, and Laura Perez Redondo!

 

Seventeen of FAST's 22 swimmers scored points by earning Finals swims and/or finishing among the Top 10 in individual events.

The largest time drop of the meet for the boys was posted by Kenneth Ho who cut an incredible 58.25 seconds in the 1650 Freestyle for a final time of 17:34.52 which earned him 3rd place overall in the event and a new AA time.

 

The largest drop of the meet for the girls was posted by Elizabeth Barnhart with her race to a 6th place finish in the Finals of the 13-14 Girls 500 Freestyle. Elizabeth dropped 17.35 seconds for a final time of 5:32.49 and a new AA time.
