Amazing 359 Lifetime Bests at Short Course Finale
FAST swimmers achieved an outstanding 359 lifetime best times at the February Short Course Finale meet. A remarkable 102 of the 104 swimmers who competed earned one or more lifetime bests! This included 140 new National Age Group motivational times:
- 1 new AAA time
- 8 new AA times
- 10 new A times
- 35 new BB times
- 86 new B times
Fifty-three swimmers achieved lifetime bests in 100% of their races -- this is over half of the total number of swimmers who participated! The largest time drop for the boys was posted by Rocco Alvarino who cut an impressive 25.33 seconds in his 200 Freestyle for a final time of 2:14.32, a new B time. The largest time drop for the girls was posted by Elizabeth Barnhart who turned in a 48.15-second drop in the 500 Freestyle. Her time of 5:14.04 was a new BB time. Twenty-four other FAST swimmers had monster time drops of 10 seconds or more: Evni Bandara (200 IM), Aaruv Biyani (100 Free), Ellie Calabrese (50 Fly), Cassius Cho (400 IM), Jacob Cho (100 Back and 200 IM), Norah Chung (100 Free), Sydney Chung (200 Free), Reeve Girod (200 IM), Olive Guppy (50 Fly), Aarya Halankar (500 Free), Amilya Heffernan (100 Free), Hannah Ju (100 IM), Kaitlyn Kao (200 IM), Dongjoon Kim (100 Back), Emily Kim (500 Free), Eugene Lee (100 Back and 100 Free), Simon Le (200 IM), Rhett Parker (400 IM), Victoria Ruge (200 Back), Mariam Samaan (100 Back), Adrienne Sayao (50 Fly), Declan Wang (100 Breast), Alice Woodward (100 Breast), and Dylan Yun (100 Back).
