Leon Guerrero's First Open Water Nationals

Sarasota, FL -- National group swimmer Luke Leon Guerrero competed in his first Open Water National Championship on April 6th. He raced the 5K and finished 27th in a competitive field of 42 swimmers that included four Japanese National Team members and elite collegiate swimmers from throughout the country. Luke swam a smart race -- hanging with a pack, passing swimmers to move up in the second half, and breaking away to finish strong 15 seconds ahead of the next swimmer.
