FAST Cinco de Mayo in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV -- FAST showed up strong at the SAND Cinco de Mayo meet last weekend. The group of 26 swimmers turned in 169 lifetime best times, including 26 new Summer Age Group Champs qualifying times and 112 new National Age Group Motivational Times!

Fifteen swimmers achieved best times all of their races. Congratulations to Starry Cho, Iris Chowtham, Hunter Lavold, Aileen Lee, Sophia Lee, Sara Neesen, Jennifer Noh, Bryce Pak, Hudson Park, Mykel Park, Finn Shook, Nicholas Trobaugh, Declan Wang, Evangeline Wanke, and Cord Woodward!
The largest time drop for the girls was turned in by Victoria Ruge in the 800 Free. Her time of 10:41.17 was an improvement of 33.38 seconds and a new Summer Age Group Champs qualifying time. Finn Shook posted the largest time improvement for the boys cutting an astonishing 1:14.51 in the 800 Free. Finn's time of 10:26.50 was a new BB time.
Other monster time improvements of 10 seconds or more were turned in by Starry Cho (50 Free), Iris Chowtham (50 Back, 50 Free), Gregory Kim (200 Free), Aileen Lee (100 Back, 50 Back, 50 Fly, 50 Free), Sophia Lee (50 Breast, 50 Fly, 50 Free), Finn Shook (100 Fly), Nicholas Trobaugh (100 Back, 100 Breast, 50 Breast, 50 Fly), Declan Wang (100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 IM), and Cora Woodward (200 IM).
Many swimmers stepped up to the challenge of competing in Long Course for the first time or in new events.
