AN AWESOME WEEKEND FOR FAST AT THE SAN DIEGO CLASSIC

Coronado, CA -- Last week 13 FAST swimmers traveled to Coronado for the 2026 San Diego Classic Senior Meet.  The team had great energy, many awesome races, and fantastic relays!
 
All 13 swimmers achieved multiple best times throughout the weekend bringing home a total of 68 lifetime bests and 20 new USA Swimming National Age Group Motivational Times.

Kenneth Ho earned his first-ever Sectional cut with his time of 16:42.74 in the 1650 Free, an improvement of 4.35 seconds!  Kenneth also achieved best times in the 100 Free and 200 Back.  Eveline Grannis earned her first-ever Winter Junior National cut with her time of 10:09.15 in the 1000 Free, an improvement of 7.43 seconds!  She broke the 5-minute barrier for the first time in the 500 Free touching in 4:58.13 to take 5th place overall.  She also improved her times in the 200 Back, 200 Fly, 50 Back, and 50 Free.
 
Toby Swanson had an outstanding 1000 Free finishing in 9:45.14, an improvement of 22.16 seconds.  This was his first time under the 10-minute barrier and a new Sectional qualifying time!  Toby also posted great time improvements in the 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 100 Free, 1650 Free, and 500 Free.  Dylan Khajavi achieved lifetime bests in the 1000 Free, 200 Free, 400 IM, 50 Back, 50 Free, and 500 Free.  His 500 Free time of 4:57.38 was his first time under the 5-minute barrier and an improvement of 2.89 seconds!
 
Shae Kennedy brought home best times in 6 events: 100 Fly, 1000 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Free, 50 Breast, and 500 Free.  Her time drop of 12.63 seconds in the 1000 Free earned 15th place overall.  She earned a second swim in the 500 Free, placing 22nd in Prelims and jumping up two spots to take 20th in Finals.  Yejun Lee also brought home 6 best times: 100 Back, 100 Free, 200 Back, 200 Free, 400 IM, and 50 Back.  He earned Finals swims in 100 Back (23rd), 200 Back (14th), and 400 IM (16th), and also scored in the 1650 Free (16th).
 
Abby Guevara posted best times in 200 IM, 50 Back, 50 Breast and was right on her best 100 Free time leading off the 400 Free Relay in 54.52 which took 4th place overall.  Rohan Parker raced to best times in 100 Fly, 100 Free, 1000 Free, 50 Free, 500 Free with Finals swims in 200 Back (20th) and 500 Free (27th).  Ratana Miller earned best times in 100 Fly, 200 Breast, and 400 IM racing to 15th place in the 400 IM.  She also scored in the 1000 Free (10th) and 1650 Free (8th).
 
Tyler Huey improved in 100 Fly, 200 IM, 50 Breast, and 500 Free with Finals swims in 200 Free (19th), 50 Breast (27th), 50 Free (16th), and 500 Free (11th).  Tyler also scored in the 1000 Free (12th).  Yves Pan improved in the 100 Fly and 200 IM with Finals swims in the 100 Free (26th), 200 Free (18th), 400 IM (21st), and 500 Free (10th).  He also scored in the 1000 Free (3rd) and 1650 Free (5th).  Caleb Yoo dropped time in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly, and 200 Free and earned Finals swims in 100 Back (18th), 100 Fly (24th), 200 Back (17th), 200 Free (27th), and 200 IM (22nd).  Isabella Zia raced to best times in the 100 Fly, 1000 Free, and 50 Free.  Her improvement in the 1000 Free was a huge drop of over 14 seconds earning her 18th place overall.  Isabella also scored in the 1650 Free (13th).
 
FAST's professional contingent also raced at the meet in preparation for USA Swimming's TYR Pro Swim Series meet next week in Westmont, Illinois.  Good luck, FAST!
