SENIOR SWIMMERS CONTINUE IMPROVEMENT STREAK AT OCEANSIDE SECTIONAL MEET

Oceanside, CA -- Eight FAST swimmers from the Senior 2 & National groups raced in the CA-NV Spring Sectional Championships bringing home 15 lifetime bests, 2 new AAA times, and 1 new Summer Junior National qualifying time.
 
Eveline Grannis dropped 23.68 seconds in the 1650 Freestyle to break the 17-minute barrier for the first time and earn her first Summer Junior National qualifying time!  Her tough racing earned her 3rd place overall in the event.  Eveline also finished 3rd in the 1000 Free and 6th in the 500 Free.  She achieved lifetime bests in all 6 of her events at the meet.
 
Kenneth Ho had a first-ever Sectional meet, improving his time in the 1650 Freestyle by 7.05 seconds for a final time of 16:35.69. His entry time was achieved just two weeks prior at the San Diego Senior Classic meet.
 
Tyler Huey raced to lifetime bests in the 50 Free (21.93) and 500 Free (4:41.79).
 
Yejun Lee achieved a new AAA time in the 400 IM (4:12.15) and dropped 1.91 seconds in the 500 Free (4:50.76).
 
Ratana Miller cut 8.42 seconds off her 1650 Free time for a final time of 17:42.65 and 13th place overall.
 
Yves Pan posted a best time in the 1000 Free (9:30.98) earning 16th place in the event.  He also had a great drop in the 200 Fly, cutting 2.29 seconds off his entry time and breaking the 2-minute barrier for the first time with his time of 1:58.72.
 
Toby Swanson had a great swim in the 1650 Free, improving his time from just two weeks ago by over 10 seconds. He touched in 16:29.19, his first time under 16:30.
 
Caleb Yoo swam his second-best time in the 100 Fly (53.01) just two weeks after posting his lifetime best (52.99) at the San Diego Classic meet. He posted a season best in the 50 Back (25.97), his second-best time ever in that event.
