SUCCESSFUL SHORT COURSE FINALE AT SCS SPRING AGE GROUP CHAMPS

La Mirada, CA -- Twelve FAST swimmers competed in the SCS Spring Age Group Championship March 12-15, 2026 for their final meet of the Short Course season.  This meet is the highest level of age group competition for the season.  On top of invaluable development experience, the group achieved 10 lifetime best times and 3 new National Age Group Motivational Time Standards.

Specific highlights included:
  • Gregory Kim's lifetime best in the 50 Backstroke (26.87) earned a spot in Finals where he raced to a 14th place overall finish.
  • Logan Chanporn raced to lifetime bests in the 50 Free (27.54) and 100 Breast (1:14.48).  These were new A and AA times, respectively.
  • Mykel Park earned lifetime bests in 3 of his 4 events: 100 Free (51.70), 200 Free (1:57.68), and 200 IM (2:06.77). These were fantastic swims and the 200 IM was a new AA time.
  • Rhett Parker notched two lifetime bests cutting 1.17 seconds in 200 Back (2:08.73) and just under 1 second in the 500 Free (5:14.63).
  • Aden Pham led off the Boys 200 Medley Relay with a lifetime best 50 Back time of 32.86.
