93% BEST TIMES AT ORANGE COMMITTEE MEET
Irvine, CA -- FAST had an incredible weekend at the Orange Committee meet hosted by Patriot Swim Club on May 16-17, 2026. An outstanding 93% of FAST's swims were lifetime bests! All 66 FAST swimmers returned home with one or more lifetime bests for a grand total of 304 best times.
The group achieved 46 new USA Swimming National Age Group Motivational Times:
New A times - 2
New BB times - 11
New B times - 33
Twenty-eight FAST swimmers achieved best times in all of their races. Special congratulations to Devin Allison, Aria Asavasumrid, Chelsea Badral, Frank Bai, Paul Calderon, Connor Edwards, Zach Garcia, Nathan Huang, Evelyn Lee, Sophia Lee, Tina Munkhbat, Teo Munkhbat, Elise Pa, Audrey Paragas, Jisoo Park, Matthew Park, Ethan Sattler, Adrienne Sayao, Emma Shue, Novi Stephan, Ryan Suk, Chloey Swanson, Milan Tran, Aiden Villanueva, Brandon Yang, Lucas Zhang, Luwen Zhang, and Ray Liu!
Luwen Zhang raced tough to 1st place in two events: 13 & Over Girls 50 Free (26.71) and 13 & Over Girls 100 IM (1:07.10). Great racing, Luwen!
The largest time drop for the girls was posted by Audrey Paragas who cut 25.98 seconds off of her time in the 50 Fly! Audrey also raced to a gigantic time drop in the 50 Back (10.61 seconds).
The largest time drop for the boys was turned in by Isaac No who cut 38.87 seconds off of his time in the 500 Free! His final time of 6:30.47 was a new B time. Isaac also posted huge drops in the 200 Free (17.99 seconds, a new B time) and 200 IM (20.85 seconds, a new BB time).
More monster time drops of 10 seconds or more were posted by 16 swimmers. Special congratulations to Devin Allison (100 Breast, 100 Fly); Chelsea Badral (100 Fly, 200 IM); Samuel Bettfreund (100 Fly, 200 IM); Paul Calderon (200 IM); Ailyn Kim (50 Free); Lucas Kim (500 Free); Jayden Lee (500 Free, 200 Free, 200 IM); Harper Lomheim (100 Fly); Tina Munkhbat (200 Free); Liam No (100 IM); Elise Pa (100 Free); Jisoo Park (200 Breast); Emma Shue (100 Fly, 200 Free, 200 IM); Nathan Xu (100 Free); Matthew Zajc (100 Breast, 100 Fly, 100 IM); and Lucas Zhang (500 Free, 200 IM)!
