Junior National qualifier Josh Miller will be heading to Southern Methodist University this fall. Josh will be moving to Dallas this month and is excited to start his collegiate swimming career as a key part of the Mustangs' excellent distance group. Good luck Josh!
Alexander Min raced to two podium finishes this past weekend at the USAS Futures Championship in Santa Clarita, CA. Alex, who will be attending the University of California, Berkeley in the fall, finished 8th in both the 800M and 1500M Freestyle events. His 800 time of 8:28.83 was his first Junior National cut and qualifies him to compete in Austin, TX in December. Congratulations Alex!
This past weekend at the USAS Futures Championship in Santa Clarita, CA, rising senior Kailee Chow swam a 200M Butterfly time trial and finished in 2:18.21. This qualifies her to compete in the Winter Juniors Championship on December 8-11, 2021. Congratulations Kailee!
FAST finished a great summer season with a third-place team finish at the Summer Junior Olympics meet in Riverside, CA. This was the highest overall JO finish in the last ten years. Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches on a job well-done!
While successfully hosting the CA/NV Summer Sectional Championships (South) FAST swam to an outstanding overall team victory. With the combined efforts of 21 competitors FAST raced to its first-ever Sectional team win! Congratulations to our athletes, coaches and volunteers on hosting and swimming in a winning fashion.
FAST Senior 1 and NAG swimmers competed in the annual Pumpkin Meet at Golden West College last weekend. With pumpkins awarded to each heat winner, this event always produces great racing! FAST's pumpkin haul was...we lost count! Our swimmers totaled an incredible 156 lifetime bests and achieved 71 new National Age Group Motivational Times. Last Friday night FAST hosted a distance meet at our home pool, kicking off a great weekend of racing. FAST swimmers posted 33 lifetime bests including 13 new National Age Group Motivational times: 1 new "AAA" time 5 new "AA" times 2 new "A" times 5 new "BB" times The largest time drop of the meet for the women was turned in by Cadis Wang.
