11 National and Senior Team swimmers raced against a wide variety of competition in Carlsbad, CA last weekend at the CA/NV Sectional Championships. 27 team members successfully marched south for the Crown City Senior Classic over Presidents' Day weekend. On Coronado Island FAST swimmers dethroned the competition from numerous teams hailing from across California and as well as several from Mexico. At the end of February 56 swimmers gathered to race in the FAST Finale Meet at Fullerton. FAST swimmers, many of whom are in their first season of year-round swimming, showed outstanding results. In mid-February 26 swimmers successfully traveled to Clovis, CA for the Central California Swimming Short Course Age Group Championships. For most swimmers this meet concluded our winter short course season and they showed excellent improvements. At the FAST February meet swimmers exceeded expectations and experienced excellence in abundance. Highlights: 55 swimmers combined for 103 personal best times 40 New National Age Group Motivational times (1 "AAA", 1 "AA", 4 "A", 17 "BB", 17 "B") Congratulations to all on a successful meet.

Last weekend the FAST team excelled in taking three team titles -- Men, Women, and Combined -- at the Trident Invite in Rowland Heights. Highlights: 63 swimmers combined for 224 personal best times 88 new USA Swimming National Age Group times were recorded (7 "AA", 16 "A", 44 "BB", 21 "B") This was the first SCY Prelim/Final meet of the 2024 season and FAST swimmers triumphed like true superheroes.

Four FAST athletes traveled east to compete at Rutgers University. The California crew represented themselves well in the winter long course meet which featured teams from Massachusetts to Maryland. Highlights: 14 best times 8 New USAS National Age Group Motivational times (6 "AAA", 2 "AA") Every swimmer had at least one new personal best The group experienced the campuses of four universities as well: Rutgers and Princeton in New Jersey and Columbia and NYU in New York. Plus, they also experienced snow (some for the first time)!
