Coach Paul Davidson will be running a Masters-specific freestyle clinic on Saturday, November 11 8:30-10 AM at the Janet Evans Swim Complex. There will be two components to the clinic: a group session where swimmers are filmed and a one-on-one session (arranged at a separate time) where the recordings are reviewed. Congratulations to the White Team for winning the annual FAST Blue vs. White instrasquad meet on Saturday. In a close battle between two teams (nearly 130 swimmers in total) the end result was a thrilling 3,186 points to 3,300 points. 550 swimmers traveled to Fullerton over the weekend to compete in the 2023 CA/NV Sectional Championships held at the Janet Evans Swim Complex. The event attracted teams from three countries (Canada, China, Mexico) as well as non-California swimmers from across the United States (Arizona, Guam, Nevada, New Jersey). FAST hosted the 1st Annual Jon Urbanchek Invitational Meet this past weekend to great success. 21 teams from as far away as Maryland joined in the competitive festivities to honor the Olympic coach. Coach Urbanchek, who produced his first and last Olympic Gold Medalists at the Janet Evans Swim Complex, was a co-founder of the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team in 1976 when the Independence Park pool was opened in Fullerton as part of the bicentennial celebrations for the United States.
